Workshops

Attending a workshop with me is a great way to deepen your knowledge and understanding of the practices I teach as there is more time to go into practical and philosophical detail, answer questions you may have that haven’t been bought up in an open class and it’s a deeper immersion and experience of the practice. A workshop can be anywhere from about 3 hours to a full day. Workshops are mainly themed and focus specifically on an area of the body for example the spine, the psoas or diaphragm. They can also focus on an element of the practice which I feel my students would benefit hugely from, such as therapeutic yoga and the use of props, the art of healing, exploring gravity and beyond.

The Fluid Body: Creating Ease in Your Practice with Lara Stapleton

Sunday 3rd February 2019
2.30pm-5pm

Price £30

Yogaloft, London NW6 6RA

We are blessed to live in a liquid medium with the human body averaging 70% water. The fluid body creates movement, integration and healing through pulsation, wave motion and tidal fluctuations. When yoga postures are tuned to the natural movement of this fluid body, the infinite and ecstatic come alive within us.

In this workshop we will explore asana from a fluid body perspective, you will be encouraged to feel into the asana and allow your authentic somatic identity to emerge. As you inhabit your own sensory experience both physically and energetically through mindful movement and breathing, you will start to learn about your own inner territory and move away from the rigid structures and holding patterns with ease and empathy.
